This is us - SIS Cairo West

The first school abroad

In association with Saxony International School - Carl Hahn gGmbH, we, Saxony International School Cairo-West, are the first school abroad.

The educational concept of our schools is based on pillars such as foreign language and media competence and ensures a solid formation of values and norms in the children and young people. Special activities characterise the school's everyday life. In addition to teaching the school subject matter (Saxon curriculum), our schools have set the following priorities:

What we offer ...

Language diversity

In our educational concept, learning foreign languages plays an important role and equips the children for their later life. In addition to German, English and Arabic, we also offer our students Chinese and Spanish lessons.

International projects

For the intercultural development of our students, we maintain contacts with international partners and schools. We also offer our students the opportunity to complete their degree at one of our partner schools in Germany.

Social skills

Actions and projects are initiated to strengthen the students' social competence and to develop the so-called "soft skills". The focus here is on teamwork, responsibility, self-confidence, and much more.

State of the art technology

In times of increasing digitalization, the correct use of media is of great importance, especially for children. Media-supported teaching using state-of-the-art technology is a matter of course at our schools.

individual support

Everyone has individual strengths and interests. In order to support all students in the best possible way, a wide variety of support services are available as needed.

Variety of offers

A cultural - artistic education through versatile offers is very important to us. For this reason, we allow our educated and trained educators the necessary freedom to work creatively.

About Us

education for life

When students walk into school laughing, when parents carefree hand their charges over to our care - then there is much more behind it than just modernly equipped classrooms and home-cooked lunches.

At the institutions of the SIS educational association, people are committed to contributing their personal strengths, professional skills and experience to the daily work with children and young people.

The schools of the SIS network are places where first-class knowledge acquisition takes place in small classes and through individual support. Team spirit and a pleasant learning atmosphere contribute to sustainable learning success. The latest scientific findings are always incorporated into the instructional design. Regular further training of our teachers in the subject science as well as in the methodical-didactical field ensure the high quality of teaching at our school.

We want the lessons to set impulses for lifelong learning. Learning processes are therefore designed in such a way that content is not passively absorbed, but actively, independently and creatively acquired. We attach great importance to individual, age-appropriate and sequential teaching of knowledge and skills.

In addition, uniform school clothing is worn at our school because we consider it important to emphasize what unites us and to prevent exclusion.

Our vision

Our field is the world

At our educational institutions, we want to make young people strong for the ever-growing, ever-changing world, in the spirit of our namesake Carl Hahn.

We are convinced that every student is entitled to good teaching and must be developed, strengthened and supported in the sense of a holistic personality. We focus on holistic learning with head, heart and hand, want each individual to develop the willingness to take responsibility for himself and others and thus be able to stand up for social justice in our society as well as to work honestly and independently. We see mutual respect, openness, respect, self-reflection, the ability to work in a team and the development of empathy, tolerance and social values as the cornerstones of our actions. Global thinking and awareness of sustainability also guide our actions.
